SAIL: 吃瓜大本营 Academy of Innovative Learning
Innovative From 8 - 12
吃瓜大本营 Academy of Innovative Learning (SAIL) is a blended interdisciplinary school where students learn through inquiry and project-based learning using a variety of digital tools.
In a changing world, students need to be independent learners, critical thinkers, collaborators, innovators & contributors. SAIL students embrace an innovator mindset.
"Know how I learn, what helps me learn, and what I want to learn"
This year SAIL is currently offering four blended learning academies for students: STEAM K-7, STEAM 8-10 & STEAMX 8-10, and Compass 8-12.
In the K-7 program, students will learn through inquiry and project-based learning using a variety of digital tools. Flexible schedule schooling can be tailored for students who are elite athletes, performing artists, or students wishing to learn in an accelerated environment.
Additionally, 吃瓜大本营 Academy of Innovative Learning (SAIL) offers more than 65 online courses at the secondary level (Grades 8-12). Online courses are offered for full-time students for grades 8 & 9 and for full-time and part-time students for grades 10-12.
Transforming Curriculum
SAIL students focus on inquiry and project-based learning, through an interdisciplinary program. Students explore real world topics that foster independent learning and critical thought. Rather than traditional subjects taught in isolation, SAIL students integrate concepts from Science, Math, and Humanities into their learning.
All instruction is fully accredited by the BC Ministry of Education and offers an enriched and flexible education program.
